Mamie Eisenhower named the Lockheed C-121 Constellations airplane after the state flower of Colorado and chose china to match; ivory colored dinner plate features a pair of blue columbine flowers and the president's initials ''D.D.E.'' in gilt. Underside is stamped, ''The Presidential Plane / Columbine / Washington, D.C. / May 1956 / Shenango China''. Plate, with scalloped edge rim trimmed in gilt, measures 10'' in diameter. Barely discernible small scratch to main surface. Near fine.
