Transcript comes from a half-hour interview Keeshan had with WHIO-TV of Dayton, Ohio on 2 December 1974. In the most forthcoming moment of the broadcast, Lockwood asks ''...What is Captain Kangaroo to you...?'' Keeshan replies ''...The Captain is what I am really / his feelings and the way he approaches life / We are one and the same person...''
