Ray Bradbury personally owned stamp and currency collection, with more than 900 pieces in total! Vast and fascinating lot comprises over 100 pieces of foreign currency and over 800 stamps from around the world. Vintage banknotes include such historical pieces as a five-hundred rubles bill featuring Peter the Great, dated 1912; a one-krone 1916 banknote from The Republic of German-Austria, as well as WWII-dated German Reichspfennig and Greek drachmas; a 5-Franc coin dated 1946; German pfennig, Austrian Kronen and Heller; Chinese cents and more, dating from the early through mid 20th century. Stamps are issued by a wide variety of countries including England, Jamaica, India, Cuba, U.S., Italy, France, Spain, Norway, Hungary, Asian countries, NATO and more. Stamps date to the same eras as the banknotes, with a handful dating to the second half of the twentieth century. Several of the later stamps are from the USA and feature a space program theme. Minor toning and creasing to banknotes. Stamps are both loose and affixed to clipped envelopes that have been mailed. Some stamps show postmarks and some show curling. Lot is in very good condition overall. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
