Ernest Hemingway typed letter signed. Simple letter on his stationery from Cuba is dated 10 May 1960, several months after his trip to Spain where he worked on a bullfighting article for ''Life'' magazine - the article that turned into his ultimate novel, ''The Dangerous Summer''. Letter reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Parlante, Thank you very much for explaining the account to me and sending a copy of the invoice for the material sent to Spain last summer. I enclose my check for $195. [signed in blue ink] Ernest Hemingway''. Hemingway also adds a double underscored ''00'' after ''$195.'' in blue ink. Single-page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Near fine with mailing folds.
