Helen Keller signed and inscribed copy of her autobiography, ''Midstream: My Later Life''. Doubleday, Doran & Co.: Garden City, New York: 1930. Inscribed in pencil to the front free endpaper, ''To: Captain Van Beek / with every good wish / Helen Keller / October 1930''. Countersigned in ink by her companions ''Anne Sullivan Macy'' and ''Polly Thomson''. Van Beek was a captain with the transatlantic shipping and passenger company United States Lines. Book measures 6.25'' x 9.25'' and runs 362pp. Sunning to spine and general toning throughout. Both Sullivan and Thomson's signatures show some areas of ink smudging. Keller's is clear and strong. Very good overall.
