Dwight D. Eisenhower typed letter signed as President, dated 27 May 1955 on White House stationery. Letter is addressed to Eisenhower's brother, Edgar, and discusses airline carriers in Alaska and the Republican Party: ''...Alaska probably has too many carriers for the traffic available...I have consistently pressed for an increase of effort in the Republican Party at the grass roots level; I thought we had made some progress...'' Signed ''D.E.'' letter measures 7'' x 10.5'' with two holes punched at top. Near fine condition.
