Document signed ''Chester A. Arthur'' as president, dated 22 May 1882. Partially-printed document appoints one James S. Fouke to the position of Postmaster in Napoleon, Ohio. The U.S. Postal Office Seal is affixed to the lower left and document is countersigned by the Postmaster General. Measures 17.5'' x 14.5'', attractively matted and framed to a size of 22.5'' x 19.5''. Document hasn't been removed from the frame, but appears near fine save for creasing.
