Rare Prince George of Wales, later King George V signed copy of the first edition book, ''War Medals of the British Army'' by Thomas Carter. Published by Norie & Wilson: London: 1893. Inscribed to the King's brother-in-law Prince Francis of Teck on the title page in black ink, ''For Francis of Teck from George. / York Cottage / Sandingham / Jan: 1894.'' 656pp. book is bound in red cloth with gilt lettering and features 26 color plates of medals. Some rubbing and cracking to spine and loose pages, else very good. A nice Royal association signed copy.
