Hugh Brannum's Mr. Green Jeans costume from ''Captain Kangaroo'', likely screen-worn. Costume is his green plaid shirt, which Brannum would have worn with his green jeans and a straw hat as part of the famous ensemble that earned him his sobriquet. Checkered long-sleeved shirt by Bellcraft buttons down the front. Size 15-15 1/2. Inside the collar are three stamps reading ''Kan'', likely for Kangaroo. Button placket has been altered, leaving two button holes without corresponding buttons and with snap closures added to the bottom, else near fine. Acquired at the estate sale of Hugh Brannum's widow on 28 June 2014 in Saylorsburg, PA.
