Rous Cup gold medal awarded to footballer Neil Webb when he played for the English national team. A short-lived football competition established in 1989, the Rous cup was awarded to the winner of the annual matchup between England and Scotland. One South American club was added in the final three years of the cup before the tournament disbanded in 1989. Webb played for Manchester United from 1989-92 and had a long career which included 26 appearances for the English national team. Front of medal depicts two team crests with a football at center. Verso reads, ''Rous Cup''. Edge of medal shows several maker's marks. Medal measures 1.5'' in diameter and weighs 25 grams. Near fine.
