Ray Bradbury personally owned blueprint and set of poster slides for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, U.S. Pavilion, where Bradbury served as creative consultant. In this capacity, he wrote an 18-minute script recounting the history of America to be broadcast in the pavilion. Presumably, these slides accompanied the narration. Blueprint and slides are housed in a box, the cover of which is handwritten by Bradbury: ''Ray Bradbury / *Blueprint & *Plans/Script / For / The United States Pavilion / At the New York World's Fair / 1964-65*''. A bookplate with the author's home address is also on the cover. Blueprint features a caption at lower right reading, ''The American Journey -- U.S. Pavilion / U.S. Commission -- Department of Commerce / H.D.C. row -- 3-3-65''. Lot also includes a hand-drawn architectural plan for the facility, including the Unisphere steel statue, the famous globe structure still standing at Flushing Meadows today. Additionally includes a set of 9 slides that were projected in the pavilion. Each slide was projected on either a 35mm motion picture projector or 35mm slide projector, as is notated, and slides are detailed with captions describing American history, with photos of various historical landmarks. Blueprint measures 24'' x 27'', slides measure 19.75'' x 15'', and case containing everything measures 17.5'' x 21.5''. Overall, very good to near fine. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
