Interesting Ray Bradbury personally owned award, inspired by his hit novel ''Dandelion Wine'', along with a letter by Laura Bush also regarding the novel. Trophy is a corked glass bottle etched, ''Ray Bradbury / August 19, 2000'', filled with blown glass dandelions and mounted to a beautiful marble base, which bears a plaque from the Colony Theatre Company. The typed letter from Laura Bush (also regarding ''Dandelion Wine'', but not related to the award), is on White House stationery and dated 14 August 2006. It reads in full, ''Dear Mr. Bradbury, Dr. Radice passed along the copy of Dandelion Wine, my favorite Ray Bradbury book! Thank you so much for the book and your warm inscription. With best wishes, [signed, possibly in autopen] Laura Bush''. Bottle measures 17'' x 6'' x 6''. Weighs 8 pounds, 15 ounces. Letter is matted and framed to an overall size of 11'' x 14''. Bottle shows a crack running up the front and breakage to glass dandelions within. Bottle and plaque are detached from base. In fair condition. Letter shows surface loss to signature, else near fine. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate.
