Pair of salt and pepper shakers owned and used by John F. and Jackie Kennedy. Salt shaker opens by its removable top and the pepper shaker is a grinder, also refillable via the top. Pewter shakers measure 2.25'' in height and 1.75'' in diameter. Light tarnishing to both pieces. Some rusting to underside of pepper mill and shallow dents to salt shaker rim, else near fine. With provenance from the Sotheby's auction of Property from the Kennedy Family Homes, held in New York, 15-17 February 2005. This was part of lot 183 and includes the original Sotheby's tag.
