White China Dinner Plate made for the Imperial Family of Czar Nicholas II in 1906 to replace a plate manufactured during the reign of his grandfather, Czar Alexander II. Made by the Imperial Porcelain factory in St. Petersburg, fine white china dinner plate measures 9.25'' in diameter and features a gold rim and the crest and cypher of Czar Alexander II in red and gold. On verso, appears the emblem of Czar Alexander II is printed to verso as well as ''1906'', as this was a replacement plate made during the reign of Czar Nicholas II just after the Russian Revolution of 1905. Replacement plates were manufactured at the Imperial Porcelain factory until 1914. This plate was previously broken in three pieces and subsequently repaired. Else very good.
Dinner Plate used by the Imperial Family of Czar Nicholas II, the last Czar of Russia, executed with his family by the Bolsheviks in 1918
