John Wayne ''Red River'' Chaps -- Gifted Later by Wayne to Joel McCrea, Who Wore Them in ''Four Faces West''

Chaps worn by John Wayne, and also by Joel McCrea. Wayne wears the chaps in ''Red River'', during the final showdown opposite Montgomery Clift. After filming, Wayne gifted the chaps to Joel McCrea, who wears them in ''Four Faces West''. Brown leather chaps feature whipstitching and a set of six metal discs tied with leather. The lowermost discs, which would have made a set of 8, are absent, else chaps are in very good condition with a small closed tear to right leg. Displayed handsomely in a lucite case measuring 44'' x 45.75'' x 3.25''. Weighs 29 pounds. Acquired from Teddi Sherman, daughter of legendary cowboy film producer, Harry Sherman.
