Rare first issue of ''Playboy'' magazine from December 1953, Volume I. Landmark issue of Hefner's controversial men's magazine features the famous color centerfold of Marilyn Monroe. All first issue points are present including the two-staple binding and black square printed to upper right of the front cover. Runs 43pp. and measures 8.5'' x 11''. Closed tear to the front cover measuring 3.5'', minor separation at the base of the spine and toning, else near fine.
