Handwritten vellum Bible leaf from Paris, France circa 1240. Decorated leaf contains 44 lines of gothic script inked in brown. From a medieval manuscript Bible likely carried by a traveling friar. With content from the Gospel of Mark 10-12. Measures 4.25'' x 6.25'' on one sheet, front and verso, with various tiny notations by hand in margins around script. Small, almost unnoticeable closed tear and some buckling, else near fine.
