Frederick the Great letter signed as King of Prussia. Datelined Berlin, 6 January 1772, letter is written in a secretarial hand in German. Its content thanks his brother-in-law for a New Year's greeting. Single-page letter measures approximately 8.5'' x 13''. Creasing, else near fine. Beautifully matted in purple and framed in gilt beside his portrait to an overall size of 19'' x 18.5''. Sticker residue to lower right of glass, else display is near fine.
