Confederate Cavalry Commander Turner Ashby abstract signed, ''Capt. T.A''. Partially printed document is headed, ''The United Confederate States'' and is dated circa February 1862 from Winchester, Virginia. Here, Ashby approves the payment of $18.42 to Capt. Henderson for a pine plank used to make bunks while on detached service. Document on one page measures 8'' x 10'' with docketing to verso. Near fine condition overall.
