Addressed to one Arlene Bye, letter reads, ''Dear Arlene: I was so pleased that you were willing to take such a long drive to join in the celebration of my birthday. I love my gifts and cannot tell you how much I appreciate them and all that you contributed to making the party enjoyable. My warm thanks and affectionate good wishes to you and George. Sincerely yours, [signed] Eleanor Roosevelt''. Single-page letter measures 6'' x 9.25''. Toning and creasing, else near fine.
