Military commission document signed ''William McKinley'' as President. Partially-printed document dated 11 July 1899 appoints one Alexander H. Davidson to the position of first Lt. in the 36th Regiment of Infantry. Countersigned by the Secretary of War. Blue seal to lower left is intact. Measures 21'' x 16''. Ink notations to the upper left from the Adjutant General's office and light creasing to edges. Near fine overall.
