John F. Kennedy signed and inscribed black and white photo, most likely as President, to Union leader Alex Rose, whose Liberal Party support helped JFK win New York and the 1960 Presidential election. Photo depicts Kennedy posing seated at a desk and was taken by renowned photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt in August 1960 at Kennedy's home after he received the Democratic nomination for President. Signed along the matte, ''For Alex Rose - / with the esteem and / best wishes of his friend - / John Kennedy''. Photo measures 7.5'' x 9.5'' and is matted to an overall size of 10.75'' x 14''. Some toning to matte and some minor archival repair to engrossment only, else very good to near fine.
