Basil Rathbone costume from 1939 picture ''Adventures of Robin Hood''. Rathbone stars as Sir Guy of Gisbourne. Costume piece is a tunic custom crafted of forest green velvet by Hollywood designer Western Costume. Brand label is hand-inscribed ''Basil Rathbone'' with production number 22623. Tunic features shirred detail to the set-in sleeves and fastens up the front with hook and eye closures. Front is gathered at the waist on the right side. Stitched small tear to the collar area and some sunning to tops of shoulders, else near fine.
