Gibson played lead role of Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore, who is chosen to train and lead a battalion in the escalating conflict in the film. Costume includes: (1) a long-sleeved U.S. Army field shirt, with U.S. Army patch, a ''Moore'' patch denoting his last name. Measures 21'' x 31'' with some orange bleach spots along bottom; (2) an olive green Hanes t-shirt, size medium with ''Mel'' written to tag; (3) a pair of intentionally distressed matching olive Army pants with a black belt, measures 32'' x 30.5''; (4) a ''Carrier Entrenching Tool'' Army pouch, 7.5'' x 10.5''; (5) a pair of US Army green socks; (6) a green canvas belt with a metal buckle; (7) a black canvas belt with gold buckle; (8) a pair of field pack olive suspenders; (9) a small arms pouch, 6.5'' x 8''; (10) a small first aid kit with bandage dressings intact, 4'' x 6''; (11) a helmet covered in camouflage fabric, 9.25'' x 11.5''; (12) a pair of Corcoran combat boots, size 11.5. Uniform all together weighs approximately 10 pounds and is in very good condition.
