Neil Armstrong high school yearbook. The 1946 memento from his high school in Ohio features the future astronaut in his Junior year. The promising student's school picture appears on p. 25, and near the bottom of the same page, where he's found in an group photo with three other students. On p. 52 he can be seen in the Boosters Club, and on p. 55 he is easily recognizable as a member of the Senior Hi-Y club, which the caption describes as ''...an active branch of the Young Men's Christian Association...collecting, sorting, and bundling old clothes for refugees, attending area committee meetings...'' Just two pages later, Armstrong is pictured as a cast member in the Junior Class Play, credited with the role of Bunny Hatter in the school's production of the Mad Hatters. On p. 61 the young achiever can be found in the group photo for the School Council, and in the band on p. 68. Yearbook runs 92pp., bound in 8'' x 10.75'' burgundy faux-leather embossed boards. Wear to board corners and spine ends, with toning to leaves and standard yearbook signatures. Very good to near fine.
