Collection of nine newspapers from Neil Armstrong's Ohio hometown, chronicling the 1969 Apollo 11 mission. The ''Wapakoneta Daily News'' issues include such headlines as ''Neil Steps on the Moon'', 21 July 1969; ''Moonwalkers return to earth safely'', 24 July 1969; and ''Neil Armstrong enjoys day in hometown'', 7 September 1969. Also depicted are numerous photographs of the Apollo 11 astronauts and Armstrong's parents. All newspapers, measuring 16'' x 22.5'', have even toning, some edge wear, and expected newspaper folds. Very good overall.
