Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner lot of personal correspondence to ''Deep Throat'' porn star Harry Reems. Collection includes one autograph card signed, three typed letters signed and one signed photo. All items, signed ''Hef'', date from 1989 to 1991, the period in which Reems began his recovery from drug abuse and Hefner began a new chapter of marriage and fatherhood. Hef writes in one letter ''...My life is certainly finer and admittedly much more mellow than it was in the swinging Seventies and early Eighties...'' He goes onto write that he can't hang out with ''pals from yesteryear...It isn't anything personal, Harry...'' and that he would be taking ''the big step'' of marriage soon. Upon the 8'' x 10'' glossy photo Hefner signs ''To Harry - Best Wishes, Hef'' of himself with a stuffed animal, showing how his life has changed. Inside a greeting card, Hefner handwrites, ''I'm sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. Getting older can be a bitch, but it's better than the alternative- H''. All items are in near fine condition.
