Joyner, considered one of the fastest female athletes of all time, won three gold medals and a silver medal during the games, wowing the crowds with her record-breaking sprints. Plaque reads in full: ''The Athletics Congress of the USA hereby recognizes the selection of Florence Griffith-Joyner to represent the United States in Seoul, South Korea as a member of the 1988 Olympic Track & Field Team / July 15-23, 1988 Indianapolis, Indiana''. Signed by both the organization's President and Executive Director, and inlaid to a wooden plaque measuring 16.75'' x 13.75''. Near fine.
