Florence Griffith-Joyner official certificate securing her place in the 1988 Olympics, held in Seoul, South Korea. Joyner, considered one of the fastest female athletes of all time, won three gold medals and a silver medal during the games, wowing the crowds with her record-breaking sprints. Plaque reads in full: ''The Athletics Congress of the USA hereby recognizes the selection of Florence Griffith-Joyner to represent the United States in Seoul, South Korea as a member of the 1988 Olympic Track & Field Team / July 15-23, 1988 Indianapolis, Indiana''. Signed by both the organization's President and Executive Director, and inlaid to a wooden plaque measuring 16.75'' x 13.75''. Near fine.
