Dr. Seuss autograph letter signed upon his personal ''Cat in the Hat'' stationery. Undated letter addressed to a Julie reads in part, ''Had my right hand not fallen off from exhaustion, I wudda answered your warm letter 3 weeks ago. And had I known you were a board member of the La Jolla Library I woudda sent a check three times bigger, if I coudda maybe afforded it. Aside from that, and the fact that I love you as always I have, I'm delighted that Brian will be attending my alma mater, Princeton in September. (I attended there one day last June and got the prettiest orange doctorial hood!) And aside from that, despite the fact we seldom see you, us Catses think perpetually beautiful thoughts about you...Ted''. Letter, measuring 5.5'' x 8.5'' is in near fine condition.
