Truman Capote signed edition of ''Other Voices, Other Rooms'', published by the Franklin Library: Franklin Center, PA: 1979. The fly-leaf is signed ''Truman Capote'' in blue felt tip. Upon its initial publication, ''Voices'' shocked critics with the story of a Louisiana plantation teen coming to terms with his homosexuality. This is the novel that launched Capote's career and made the ''Breakfast at Tiffany's'' author a New York literary darling. Tome is handsomely bound in chocolate brown leather boards with gilt lettering, all edges gilt and light pink silk moire endpapers. Runs 194pp. In fine condition.
