Letter, dated 19 July 1950 on White House stationery reads in full, '' Dear Mr. Mayor: I've just had a conversation with George Allen and he was high in his praise of your courtesy and cooperation in the project in which he is interested. I also appreciate it very highly. Sincerely yours, [signed] Harry Truman.'' Single page letter on a single sheet of card-style stationery measures 7'' x 9''. Small faint stain to the bottom edge and creasing, else fine.
