Roosevelt overwhelmingly defeated President Herbert Hoover in the 1932 election shortly before this photo was signed. FDR pens his signature here in black ink, ''Franklin D. Roosevelt''. Lot includes original correspondence and envelopes from the man who requested the photo from Roosevelt's private secretary, dated 9 November 1932. Photo measures 7.75'' x 10''. Additional items include two different FDR portraits with printed signatures. Entire collection is near fine.
