The 6 October 1955 edition bears a headline reading, ''James Dean Killed as Result of California Car Accident'', as well as a photo of the legendary actor. Article reveals hometown acquaintances called him ''Jimmy'' and uses that moniker in a touching eulogy citing his regard for his hometown after achieving Hollywood fame, via appearances and speaking engagements at his alma mater. Paper comprises pages 1 through 4 and 7 through 8. Chipping and separation to fragile newsprint and a small stain at lower right. Very good condition.
