Iconic car company entrepreneur Louis Chevrolet typed letter signed on Glenn L. Martin Company letterhead, where Chevrolet was then serving as vice president and general manager in Baltimore after founding the Chevrolet Motor Company in 1911. Dated 16 February 1931, letter is addressed to W.C. Clayton, chief engineer at Pitcairn Aircraft, Inc. and reads: ''We are sending you by parcel post today the propeller hub wrench that was supposed to have been sent to you with the motor but was omitted.'' Signed ''Louis Chevrolet'' in black ink. One page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Some toning, else near fine condition.
