Document states in part that Webster, ''in consideration of the sum of three thousand Dollars...do freely, clearly and absolutely give, grant, bargain, fell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto...the said Oliver [Dickinson] a certain tract of Land in Amherst...'' During Webster's time in Amherst, he took an active role in establishing Amherst College. Partially printed document is signed ''Noah Webster''. Light toning to 8.25'' x 13.5'' single page. Very good condition.
