Railroad tycoon George M. Pullman letter signed. Letter is dated 5 June 1880 and addressed to one Charles B. Waite. Upon Pullman's Palace Car Company stationery, letter reads in part, "Dear Sir, I have received your letter of 2nd inst. with its enclosure of check for $25,000 for which I return herewith my note to order of Mrs. Julia B. Waite payable on demand with interest at 5 per cent. I understand that I am to invest this amount in certain securities as understood between Mrs. Waite and myself previous to her departure for Europe…Has anything been accomplished yet in the Windsor appraisal? Yours very truly, [signed] Geo M Pullman". 2pp. letter on a single sheet of card style stationery measures 5.25" x 8". Toning and smudge to part of signature, else near fine.
