Original copy of Senator John F. Kennedy's speech, ''New England - Problem or Promise?'' The speech reads in part, ''...Clearly New England cannot oppose to industrial development of any other sections of the country, nor can it shrink from competition with other areas. But we believe that such competition should be fair...'' Thirteen pages on 8'' x 11.5'' carbon sheets. Light wrinkling, more severe to first page which also has a small tear in upper right corner.
