Henry Dearborn autograph letter signed as Secretary or War, dated 26 May 1808. Here, Dearborn writes to military agent William Linnard in full: ''You will please to furnish Captain Clement C. Biddle, and Captain Benjamin Walton, with two hundred dollars, each, on account of the contingent expenses of the recruiting service.'' Signed clearly, ''W. Dearborn'', one page letter measures 7.25'' x 9.5'' with some toning and small tears to edges, else very good condition.
