Alessandro Volta document signed, dated 30 August 1796 from Pavia, Italy. Here, the acclaimed Italian physicist, best known for his invention of the battery signs a partially printed document in Italian, ''Alessandro Volta / Pr. Prof (?)''. Document seems to denote an amount of money paid by the University of Pavia where Volta served as a chair. One page document measures 8.75'' x 10.75'' and has some toning, else very good to near fine.
