A circular medal, the obverse inscribed BARCLAYS LEAGUE DIVISION 1 WINNERS, the reverse engraved 'SEASON 1991-1992', Hallmarked, Vaughton & Sons, 9ct gold, ring suspension, with original blue velvet lined case imprinted with Football League logo to the top. This represents a rare opportunity to purchase a winning medal from the final season of the English Football League Division One before it became the Premier League. Approx. diam. 32mm. The last-ever league championship before the creation of the Premier League was won by Leeds United who overhauled Manchester United thanks to the efforts of, among others, Gordon Strachan, Lee Chapman, David Batty, Gary Speed, Gary McAllister and last but not least Eric Cantona.
