Darryl F. Zanuck's personally owned cigarette box crowned with an applied silver horse figure. Crystal box, likely gifted to Zanuck with his affinity for horses in mind, features an etched scrolling foliated design to the exterior. The interior is partitioned into three compartments of equal size. Crystal lid is also etched. Relaxed horse figure wears saddle and bridle gear, with fully articulated stirrups dangling from its sides. Slight asymmetry to horse's mouth lends character. The small silver base on which the horse stands is stamped ''Germany''. Box measures 6.5'' x 2'' x 3.5'' and with horse 5.5'' in height. In fine condition. With an LOA from Darrylin Zanuck.
