American Cinema Editors Award bestowed on Dorothy Spencer for editing 20th Century Fox's elaborate, high-budget version of ''Cleopatra'' in 1963 starring Liz Taylor. Striking black and gold award features a gold colored medallion with the American Cinema Editors' logo - a balance scale with a pair of scissors as the pivot, weighing a film reel against individual frames. Logo is surrounded by the name of the organization. Medal is mounted to black velvet above a plaque that reads, ''Feature Motion Picture / Achievement in Film Editing / 1963 / Dorothy Spencer / 'Cleopatra'''. A smaller medallion is nailed to the bottom edge of the frame at center. Measures 8.5'' x 10.5'' x 1.25''. Tarnishing to medal and slight discoloration to engraved piece, else near fine.
