Andy Warhol signed and sketched first edition of his book, ''The Philosophy of Andy Warhol'', Harcourt Brace Jovanovich: New York & London: 1975. Fly-leaf features a giant sketch by Warhol of the Campbell's Tomato Soup can he popularized in 1964 with his definitive exhibit, ''The American Supermarket''. Sketch, rendered in black felt tip is dedicated in Warhol's hand, ''To Darren'', labeled ''Campbell's / Tomato / Soup'' and signed, ''Andy Warhol''. Book is a compilation of Warhol's opinions and reflections on fame, art and popular culture. Bound in yellow paper boards with orange cloth spine and black print lettering. Runs 240pp. Measures 5.75'' x 8.75''. Very slight cocking to spine. Staining to bottom edge of boards and to the bottom edge of the rear free endpaper, else near fine. With unclipped dustjacket showing minor edge wear and small stain to verso, else near fine.
