Rare first edition of Orson Welles' and Roger Hill's adaptation of Shakespeare's ''Twelfth Night.'' Part of the celebrated ''Everybody's Shakespeare'' series published by The Todd Press: Woodstock: 1934. Welles penned his Shakespeare adaptations at age nineteen, seven years before making his masterpiece ''Citizen Kane.'' The soft bound play, featuring printed sketches by Welles on the margins, measures 6.5'' x 10'' and is inscribed by the previous owner on the cover and fly-leaf. Some wear to cover and light toning to pages else very good. Originally from the Orson Welles February 1992 estate sale.
