George Gershwin signed program for a 26 January 1934 concert in Sioux Falls. Composer and pianist Gershwin performed his classics ''Rhapsody in Blue'' and ''An American in Paris'' and other popular songs with conductor Charles Previn. Gershwin's large pencil signature reads: ''George Gershwin''. Gershwin would die only three years later, at age 38, from a brain tumor. Previn also signs the program in pencil; tenor James Melton signs in ink. The 6'' x 10.25'' program shows moderate chipping and tape residue, else very good.
