Douglas MacArthur signed copy of ''MacArthur, His Rendezvous With History''. Written by Major General Courtney Whitney and published by Alfred A. Knopf: New York: 1956, first edition, later printing. The five-star general's autobiography is signed ''Douglas MacArthur'' upon the front free endpaper. MacArthur's story of his his life from his time in the Philippines during WWII through the post-Korean War era runs 547pp. Bound in rust colored cloth boards with a blue spine and top edge red, measuring 6.5'' x 9.5''. Staining to top edge and foxing to fore-edge. Very good overall, with dustjacket in very good condition save for some toning and chipping.
