Neil Armstrong typed letter signed on NASA stationery. Stamped 8 December 1969, letter is addressed to Mr. Harry Stein of the Imperial Handbag Company in New York. It reads: ''It was very kind of you to send each of our wives one of your specially designed handbags. On behalf of our wives, Colonels Aldrin and Collins join me in expressing our sincere thanks for your thoughtfulness and for the fine gifts. Sincerely, Neil Armstrong''. 1pp. measures 5.25'' x 8''. Mounted and framed to an overall size of 8.75'' x 10.75''. Trimmed around margins, with tape marks and staining to edges and mounted; in fair to good condition.
