Sixteen pieces of china from Tuileries Palace, from the service belonging to Napoleon III, nephew and Royal successor to Napoleon I. In the center of each, Napoleon III's seal and monogram ''N'' appear in gilt. Rim is decorated with a gilt band and underside of plates are marked with the years 1857, 1862, 1866, 1868 and 1869 with an ''S'' and year marking. Each measures 9.5'' in diameter. Small chip to one plate and fading to some ''N'' markings at center, else near fine.
