''The Buffalo Enquirer'' from 16 September 1901, reporting on the death of President McKinley two days after he died from an assassin's bullet. The poetic headline continues, ''...tearful multitudes accompanied the martial pageant in escort...'' McKinley, shot on September 6 at a Buffalo event, lingered until the 14th when his death occurred and Vice President Teddy Roosevelt became President. Other articles cover proceedings against assassin Leon Czolgosz. 17'' x 23.5'' ten page newspaper is in very good condition.
