Lyndon B. Johnson signed and inscribed, ''The Professional: Lyndon B. Johnson'' by William S. White. Boston: Houghton Mifflin: 1964. First edition, fourth printing, with unclipped dustjacket. Boldly signed in ink on half-title page: : ''To Hoyt G. Wilson / With best wishes, Lyndon B. Johnson''. Book runs 273pp. and measures 6'' x 8.5'', bound in red-orange cloth boards. Unclipped $5.00 dustjacket shows wear to edges and tears to top and bottom edges; book shows little wear with clean pages. Also includes a small typed letter signed by John Bailey, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, dated 12 June 1964, gifting the signed book to a ''Dear fellow Delegate''. Near fine overall.
